CCHS WELLNESS INITIATIVES
Wellness Activities are essential for the overall wellbeing of every individual. With this focus CCHS initiated ‘Wellness Clique’ for students and staffs. Each activities were focussed on building a healthier and happier community.
Zen Studio, an alone space to experience the joy of stillness
CCHS offers a peaceful space for experiencing tranquillity through meditation and mindfulness practices to develop self-awareness, adaptability, and the ability to bounce back from challenging situations. Students and staffs appreciated the role of zen space elements such as wood, fire, earth, metal and water in calming themselves.
Chinese Jazz
A Dance form was tutored with the objectives of Stress Relief by making use of the therapeutic elements of physical movement ,emotional expression and music
Glass Painting and Coaster Making
Expression of feelings through creative work rather than with speech, it is believed to be particularly helpful for those who are dealing with Stress related issues, overthinking, improving cognitive functions, fostering self-esteem, and building emotional resilience and social skills. Importance of accepting oneself the way they are is highlighted to instill self confidence and self acceptance. It is not about the final product, rather it is about healing through the process of making art.
Expressive therapies like Art therapy and Sand tray therapy are used to help clients to represent their inner world without articulating. It can complement talk therapy.It provides a safe space for the client to express the traumatic experience in a non-verbal manner .
