FAQs

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is XIME’s flagship two-year, full-time, AICTE-approved residential management programme designed to prepare students for leadership roles in business, industry, and entrepreneurship.

The PGDM programme is offered across three XIME campuses: Bangalore (main campus) Kochi and Chennai.
PGDM Entrance

XIME admits around 540 PGDM students across its three campuses: Bangalore with 240, Kochi with 150 and Chennai with 150 seats.

The PGDM programme in all campuses is AICTE-approved and follows a trimester system.

The programme blends academic rigour, experiential learning, and ethical leadership, guided by XIME’s Knowing–Doing–Being philosophy — learning with clarity, acting with confidence, and leading with conscience.

While both PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) and MBA (Master of Business Administration) are postgraduate management programmes, the key difference lies in their governing bodies and curriculum flexibility.
PGDM programmes, like those at XIME, are approved by AICTE and delivered by autonomous institutions, allowing regular curriculum updates to match industry trends and emerging technologies.
MBA degrees are awarded by universities and often follow a standardised syllabus.
In terms of
recognition and career value, a PGDM from a reputed, AICTE-approved institution like XIME is equivalent to an MBA for employment, higher studies, and international recognition.

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Final-year students may also apply, provided they submit proof of passing the degree examination before the stipulated deadline.
